Colorado -- Winter Still Hanging On In Buena Vista!
Hey Gold Adventurers...
Well, the weatherman called for cold and snow for last night and into today...
Looks like we only got a dusting of snow here at my house.............a little more up on the 13ers and 14ers.
However, it was a "balmy" 14.9F outside this morning at 6:30 AM. Brrr...
Nothing like making Winter go on and on and on...
Hope to go prospecting soon, but will want it to warm up some. Maybe in a few more days. Still 29F outside at 8:20 AM.
Hope you can get out, get some gold and that it's less wintery where you are!

Beautiful pictures Randy! We are going to get 3 to 6 inch's of rain this weekend alone. Flooding galore and now I listen to the TV report about a dam in Montana that could be / might be / hopefully wont give away and cause the worst disaster since o being elected.

Gold Adventurers...
O.K. Looks like this multi-day Spring storm has FINALLY moved on...
We got another inch of snow last night here at the house...........and a LOT more up on the 13ers & 14ers...
The hills are again totally white!
Had 20F for the low this morning, breezy outside too. Sunny, but only up to 27F at 8:15 AM, so promises to be another very cool day.
Here's some pics of Mt. Princeton, Mt. Yale and the twin Buffalo Peaks:
Tomorrow is 1 May.............and we're still in full Winter mode here!
I have cabin fever again, need to get out gold prospecting soon, but NOT until the snow melts in, the ground unfreezes more and the days warm up some... Ugh...
Regardless, hope you live in a warmer area, can go get some gold, come back to the Forum and post a Trip Report for all of us to see, read, enjoy!
Heavy pans,

I haven't used my ATV with the snow plow in 2 years now! I'll bet this Winter will be a LOT different!

Russ,
Well...........hard to tell, but we're WELL over 100% of average annual snow pack here in Kolorado...
Last I saw in the paper, the SNOTELs up on the mountains were reporting like 165% to 175% to date.
Might still get another storm or two before May is over as well. Last year we got a really big, wet heavy snow dump in early May.

Re: Colorado -- Winter Still Hanging On In Buena Vista!
We got 10 inches Friday-Saturday and still have quite a bit on the ground. How is it that we got so much more snow than you did this time? Well, it will melt today. Last week of classes, finals next week, then just maybe I can get out and find some wild gold.
Meanwhile, the nice gold porn shots you posted help. Thanks.
