Does anyone know of a good place to hunt for gems near Colorado Springs? I've always wanted to go find some nice gems and now my son is itching to go too. Question

Well, I am not a big gem hunter myself............but, I did go and speak twice at our local Gem & Mineral Club membership in the past, in Salida, Colorado.

Maybe try contacting them and strike up a conversation, see if anyone in their club knows a good spot for you to try your luck?
