Colorado -- Cold, Snowy and COLD!

Gold Adventurers...

Well, looks like a really deep, cold and snowy winter this year here in pot smokin' "High" Kolorado…

Lots and lots of snow so far, like 238% more than this time last year......and lots of single digit or negative temps for the low too.

Yesterday morning I hit 7.9F below zero as the sun rose in the East and right now it's only 2.5F outside, with an hour left until sunrise.

All this makes me think it might be a long, cold Spring too...……..and so I might not see the snow & ice melt off, the ground become unfrozen enough to get back to gold prospecting until say April at the earliest...

We'll have to see, but it's looking like I'll juts have to keep hitting the local B.V. gym to stay in shape, burn off all my excess energy!

We had a "White Christmas" for sure, with a good 6 inches out on the ground and a LOT more built up on the surrounding hills and 13ers & 14ers.

Come on Spring!

Our first significant snow in 5 years is coming this weekend 4-6 inch's of snow and it's being updated as the weekend gets closer.

I just got back in at 5 PM last evening from Texas...

WE got another 6+ inches here over the week I was gone. Barely powered my way up the driveway and into the garage in my 2001 Olds Intrigue car.

The wind has drifted in some snow, up to a foot, in my driveway, so I'll be out shoveling and snow blowing later today to clear it all out, once the sun comes up here. A not too bad 20F out right now.

We ended up getting 11 / 12 inch's of wet snow and everybody was wanting to be my friend..............My 4x4 ATV with a snow plow really helped me out !

I just got back in from shoveling and snow blowing myself for about 2 1/2 hours...
