Colorado -- MORE Winter Snow -- 28 Feb 2017
Hey Gold Adventurers...
Nope. Winter's NOT done by ANY stretch of the imagination here in "High" Kolorado...
Last Friday we had 0.7F below zero, on Saturday we had 1.1F below zero and on Sunday a balmy 7F for the low. Yesterday was windy, cloudy and had about 26F for the high at 3 PM.
Woke up this morning to 26F and 3 to 4 more inches of snow.
So, just when I had a mostly gravel driveway and a snow free path to the barn out back, we're back to all white...
I think we're up to about 160% of average annual snow pack here, with snow "season" not over until the end of May.
SO, looks like it will be a while yet before I can get out onto the river, do some panning and/or sluicing.
Come on Spring!

Russ,
ha! That's the problem...........too much fat on my belly from months of minimal outdoor activity...
I do go to the gym about 3 times a week, but it's NOT enough.
However, maybe soon we'll warm up again, the snow will melt off some and I can go fly fishing and catch a trout dinner.
The river gravels are basically frozen solid, under ice/snow. So, probably no prospecting until late March? We'll see...

Randy, It sounds like it is a good time to dust off your detector and head to AZ for some exercise. YEA
