California -- Susie's Day Prospecting With Friends

Hey Gold Adventurers...

I came across these neat photos my little sister Susie sent me several years back. I think they were taken in the middle of winter there in Kalifornia, about January 2012 if I remember correctly...

Look how low and slow the NF American River is.......just about 100 yards above the confluence with the MF American River, just below Auburn, Kalifornia, in the Auburn Recreation Area.

Susie's friends had never been gold panning/prospecting before, so she took them out for the day, and a picnic lunch too. So, they did absolutely GREAT crevicing and using a hand sucker to crevice wnder water and suck up the material and pan it out!
