Colorado -- Ark River Sluicing with Gary -- 11 Dec 2014

Hey Gold Adventurers...

Trying to repopulate a few older Trip Reports here to get the new ball rolling.

This was a day well spent on the Arkansas River, here in High Kolroado. My prospecting buddy Gary met me, we hit the Ark, did a little side by side sluicing for maybe 4 hours.

The day was cool, but no bigtime snow or ice to fight.

Here's my Le Trap sluice finally setup:

Here's my gold from the few buckets of material I was able to dig in the mostly frozen ground, hand wash in the flair of my sluice:




Probably about 1/2 a gram of fine Kolorado flood gold. Didn't get skunked, had a great 3 to 4 hours with a good friend on the river!

Hopefully, you'll get out, create a "Gold Adventures" memory, find for gold.
