Colorado -- Dredging the Arkansas River -- 4 Oct 2017

Hey Gold Adventurers...

A late post here... Catching up on some past prospecting I want to share.

Spent 1 day on the Ark here locally on a good friend's claim trying out the sluice box mod I did on my little 2 1/2 inch Keene dredge. Trying to mimic the successful mod I did to my Keene ultra mini 4 incher.

After some stops & starts, I got the dredge running great and we ended up with 4 grams of super fine flood gold in a 6 hr day.

It was a lot of work that day.......carrying the dredge in pieces, all our equipment down the bank to the river, asembling it, pitching rocks, dredging, 4 cleanups in 4 hrs of nozzle time, and then breaking it all down and carrying it back up the bank and putting it all into my Jeep again...

BUT, a success overall and nice gold too! Come on Spring!
