Gold in Texas... O.K. A LITTLE! Empty Gold in Texas... O.K. A LITTLE!

Greetings Gold Adventurers...

LONG time since I posted a post here on the Forum.

I moved to Texas last December, lived in an apartment 9 months while I had a new house built. Moved in, mostly set up now. Ugh. Moving is tough...

So, our development has a big green belt area between phases/homes and there's a nature trail down a canyon with a dry wash. Walked it recently, noticed a lot of exposed limestone bedrock.

Decided to go back with my rare earth magnet, look for magnetic heavies. I found several spots with a little black sand, so I dug up/scraped up 3 quart Ziplock bags of material.

I panned them back at the house in a tub of water and to my surprise I actually ended up with 8 to 10 super nano specks in 9 small pans of material. Have to have a bright light and look hard to see them, BUT no doubt I found a LITTLE gold.

I saw a gold map of Texas in the past and saw lines running parallel to the current coastline where ancient coastlines used to be... One appeared to be close to where I live Northeast of San Antonio. So, maybe this is old flow gold washed into the ocean and then left behind by ancient wave action.

Anyways, I was fun to prospect behind my house and actually find a few nano specks!

Hoping 2021 is a GREAT gold prospecting year for everyone!!!
