Hey Gold Adventurers...

I always wanted a good, super duty hand pick for use when out metal detecting... The ground here in High Colorado is REALLY hard, rocky.

I bought this Apex "Weasel" model hand pick several years back. It's the cheapest one, without magnets. I've maybe used it 8 to 10 times now and I can say this is one HEAVY DUTY pick!

I sharpened up the point a little better on mu bench grinder. I also roughed up the handle with a really coarse wood file for better grip with my gloved hand or bare hand for that matter...

I have NO doubt this thing will outlast me. Very happy.

So, if you're looking for a very sturdy, well made pick.......take a look at Apex: http://www.apexpicks.com/

Not the cheapest out there, but quality matters...
