Hello! ANYONE Out There????
Hey Gold Adventurers....
Yeah, I know it's the middle of winter.................just looking out my Man Cave windows I see at least 2 feet of snow here...............and 154% of average annual snow pack already up on the 14ers...
SO, being unable to "hit the hills'.............prospect................you'd think the indoor activities, Forum traffic would be way, way up. Not the case, sadly.
Wish there was more folks on the Forum...............posting posts, talking gold, yacking about their latest equipment, last outing, even the GOLD RUSH TV show...
Besides myself, Ron, Russ, Dickb.............as regulars...........we could sure use some more activity!!!
Yeah, posting pics is a bit of a pain, but they are worth "1000 words" too. Ha. WE all love to see pics of gold, prospecting, your latest piece of equipment, whatever.
SO..................how about a few pics of some gold, just for fun???

Randy
I'm here every day to see what's happening. It looks like the governments interest in killing gold mining is working, to my dismay.
As for your pictures, You sure know how to hurt a guy. Just rub it in a little more. Sure there is gold out here in Iowa, but that's more than a life times worth of findings here.
Keep warm, It's looking like I need to start thinking about getting the lawnmower ready to cut grass. Darn it.
This may not be gold, but it's golden.
This morning, Jan 4, 2017. we held a brief Change of Command Ceremony where Cadet Colonel Daniel Cole passed the ceremonial torch to Cadet Colonel Carson Stabell (left side). As Wing Commander, Carson now leads the 315 cadets of unit SC-951
Carson's sister Jessica is a freshman cadet this year also.
Carson is off to college this fall and full time AFROTC Cadet.

Dickb,
Well.................THANK YOU for chiming in..............posting some very inspiring and uplifting text and a picture of cadets change command!
Well done Cadet Colonel Daniel Cole........
I can tell you, command is a lot to bear, a lot of sacrifice and effort............and your command always hangs by a thread.
Best wishes to Cadet Colonel Carson Stabell...
Great to see the next generation stepping up, assuming ever higher responsibility and accepting the risk of the unknown.
Best wishes to Carson!

Re: Hello! ANYONE Out There????
SALUTE! Yes it is a fine feeling to see the younger people stepping up and becoming up standing people! Not enough of it going around with the younger generation! Today here in Misery I got the weirdest stares from my neighbors when I had my lawn mower out and using it to mulch up the leafs that had blown into my yard because they were to lazy to do theirs! OR was it because I was wearing a "T" shirt ?? It don't matter ! My mower started up after a few strong words. and now I M/Ted the fuel tank and added a little bit of the True-fuel that don't have any ethanol and itll last for 2 years and wont go bad. Nice little poke of gold you have there!! and as far as posters, it that way all over the net and I also don't get it! HA Maybe theres a hot bingo game somewhere???

Re: Hello! ANYONE Out There????
Russ,
Sadly, when my "old" Gold Adventures Forum died.................no-notice...............and no luck recovering it after 6 months, I restarted the "new" Forum here...
I had over 700 registered users from ALL over the country and a few too from overseas.
Sadly, today I only have about 77 total registered users, including me and of those, maybe 5 ever come, look or more importantly, comment or generate new threads, post Trip Reports, post pics, share much of anything...
I guess we'll just have to see gold soar back to $1,921 or higher again before folks get "excited" about gold and gold prospecting again...
Oh, it was probably your T-shirt! Ha,
Got 2 inches more snow this morning, 19F and still snowing lightly. Supposed to snow on/off for the next 3 days...

Re: Hello! ANYONE Out There????
Russ,
Well, what I was REALLY hoping to get back too were the thousands upon thousands of Trip Reports, pics, stories, threads, etc.
Almost 8 years of data, info, reports, advice and DIY stuff were all "poofed". Lost.
So, we started over from scratch....
I cajole, request, beg folks to join, post, share, enjoy. I can't force them to... Maybe $10,000 an ounce gold WILL help!!!

Randy,
I always have to check in here once in a while. You are my link to what's happening in "high Colorado". Looking forward to spring. May not make it up to the Arkansas valley. Cache Creek is what drew me that direction. I have always appreciated your forum. Thanks Randy!!!

Been cold too. Only 10F for the low this morning, real windy/gusty and snow drifting all over..............and the last 3 days in a row had lows of 10.8F, 11.7F and 11.0F degrees BELOW zero here!
Dang ground is not only frozen like concrete, but it's under 3 feet of snow to boot!
Don't be a stranger.....
